I love interesting architecture. Might be that my dad always dreamed of being an architect, but I love how some buildings are or have interesting features. These windows sit at the top of an old firehouse in my neighborhood. It's long been decommissioned but sits within a historic district in my town. Old buildings can be like old cars, full of character, which is why I like them.
These pictures were taken on a walk down to a store in my neighborhood. I've always been fascinated by this old firehouse and with the clear sky and bright morning sun, I thought it was a great time to capture them.
I would have missed this if I'd been driving. But being on my own two feet let me take the time to pause, appreciate, and document this great building. It pays to slow down, pause, and look around. You never know what you'll see.
